Victoria is a writer, editor, and multimedia producer who serves as Planet Forward's Digital Content Editor.
Victoria grew up in rural, southern Delaware, caught in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. Her first experiences of the world are of beaches, cornfields, creatures in her mother's garden, and magnolia trees with good climbing branches; it's perhaps unsurprising that she'd grow to craft stories in service to them.
Victoria is constantly exploring different mediums of communication. In highschool, that meant writing poetry, taking photos for the yearbook, and designing page layouts for the school magazine. As an undergraduate journalism and mass communications student at GW, she made short documentaries, broadcast in-studio sessions as the music director for WRGW District Radio, edited their music blog, and wrote for the digital magazine The Thirlby. She has a soft spot for audio storytelling and is drawn to the expressive qualities of documentary and magazine work.
Victoria started at Planet Forward as an intern in the summer of 2019, a semester before she completed her bachelors degree, and stuck around to become a full-time member of the team. She's most interested in stories that illuminate how climate connects to human elements of life, especially justice, labor, and food. Though she loves doing media production work, her favorite part of working at Planet Forward is engaging with students, seeing them grow as storytellers, and growing along with them.
Outside of work, you can find her expanding her music knowledge, cooking vegan meals, taking photos of plants, and reading political theory and speculative fiction.
