Currently, I am a Junior majored in Environmental Studies with a focus in Policy, Planning, and Law at SUNY-College of Environmental Science & Forestry. I know, a mouth-full; a mouth-full, that constantly has me wondering how I got here.
Growing up, I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by the natural world. Whether I was home playing in the ocean or spending weeks on end at my Grandpa's Cabin in the Northern Adirondacks, I owe it all to my experiences as young girl- being fully immersed in nature and realizing how small I am in the grand scheme of it all- planet earth.
My interests are rooted in the power of storytelling and helping people understand that all you can do is try your best, for both the planet and the people around you; for as long as you are trying your best, you are doing just fine.
Asides, I love to learn, but I love even more to apply what I learn to my reality in order to help and make a difference, even if it is a small one. When I graduate from ESF I may apply for Graduate school or maybe I'll volunteer abroad with the Peace Corps. Whatever it is, I do know that one day I wish to grow my own food and even share it with my surrounding community through an accessible CSA or a farm-to-table restaurant.
