Emily grew up on a small farm in Harvard, Mass., where she spent her childhood hiking outdoors and competing gymnastics at a high level. She is currently majoring in English with a minor in Environmental Studies, and is completing a certificate in Entrepreneurship. On campus, she serves as the social chair for her A Capella group, the Georgetown GraceNotes, and the campus outreach director for the literary magazine, the Anthem. She also sits on the board of Startup Hoyas as the Vice President of Community and Engagement, and is co-founding a social venture called Hilltop Compost that aims to bring postconsumer composting services to Georgetown’s campus. During summer 2017, she was a student at the Middlebury School of the Environment in Vermont and Washington, D.C. Emily spends her free time planning adventures with friends, making kombucha to feature on her food blog, and mastering her yogi poses.
