Evidence of expertise: I managed logistics and programming for the Peace Corps' 50th Anniversary commemoration. I then moved onto a public affairs firm where I worked on several grassroots campaign focusing on renewable energy, electric car manufacturing and GMO labeling. These topics among others really interested me so I pursued my MBA focusing in Sustainability. After I graduated, I started working with Planet Forward, which married my experience with my career interest and goals.
What you do at Planet Forward: I am working closely with the Planet Forward team to ensure that the 2016 Summit will contribute to the overarching goal as well as gain exposure for the organization and mission. I am managing speaker participation, overall programming and event logistics. I want to make sure that every participant attending the 2016 Summit will leave with a new or different perspective on how cities can develop sustainably.
What your friends think you do at Planet Forward: Turn the lights on/off and set up the locally sourced/non GMO/organic food.
Why we must care about the environment (in 10 words or less): There is only one Earth, so let’s treasure it.
If you win the lottery, you will: Buy lots of land where I create a closed loop system for my daily life.
