Hello! My name’s Arielle Bader, I’m a senior at GW majoring in photojournalism. I grew up in the sunshine state in Tampa, FL. Growing up there I spent lots of time walking around the neighborhood barefoot, biking and lots of time in the pool on the swim team. I would always bring my underwater camera to practice and loved experimenting with manipulating water for nice visual images. This love for water stayed with me as I began to dive into long-term photo projects in school. I was most inspired by the work being done to combat the climate crisis. Some people choose to focus on their diet, or limit their waste, study the policies or take direct action through protests or beach cleanups. After I graduate, I hope to remain in the creative field, sharing important stories about the earth. I am passionate about photography, video, audio and graphics. A fun fact about me is I have a corgi at home named Penny.
