Dr. Woodrow Clark II, a long-time advocate for the environment and renewable energy, is an internationally recognized author, lecturer and advisor specializing in sustainable communities. In December 2007, Dr. Clark was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, along with his colleagues in the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC). He contributed work as the co-writer on Chapter 2 on Finance and Economics and the co-editor for Chapter 3 on Legal and Contracts.

In 2004, he founded Clark Strategic Partners (CSP), an environmental and renewable energy consulting firm using his political-economic expertise in order to guide, advise and implement public and private clients worldwide – specifically on sustainable development projects for communities of all kinds ranging from colleges and universities to shopping malls, office buildings and film studios from around the world. Dr. Clark’s recent books and articles reflect that concern for creating and implementing global sustainable communities. He has taught graduate courses in this area in California, other parts of the USA and internationally.

Recently Dr. Clark has been giving talks related to his applied academic work on climate change and sustainable communities for the US State Department including Africa, China and the EU. His next book is Global Energy Innovations about the Third Industrial Revolution (3IR) is due out from Praeger Press in fall of 2011. Dr. Clark earned three Masters’ degrees from different universities in Illinois and his Ph.D. at University of California, Berkeley. He lives with his wife and son in Southern California.
