Tommy the Turtle and animal smuggling

Wildlife trafficking is a grave problem across the United States. Traffickers capture and transport animals for commercial purposes and in doing so, disrupt ecosystems and terrorize these animals. This trafficking is illegal under the Lacey Act. In this story, an endangered ornate box turtle is trafficked across state lines and is saved by law enforcement and the Department of Justice Environmental Crimes Section! This children's book is aimed toward our youth in hopes of teaching them about the laws that help preserve our planet.
