Powering the Center for Manufacturing Excellence at Ole Miss using solar panels

The CME building's quest for "Silver"

The Center for Manufacturing Excellence building at the University of Mississippi is powered by more than 400 solar panels that have been installed on the roof. The building was built to promote green energy and for educational purposes. The solar panels power the entire building except for the manufacturing floor even on cloudy days. The university hopes the building will become the second LEED certified building on campus with a silver ranking.
