It’s time we start giving our young people credit. Those in their late teens and early 20s are coming of age in a divided time, especially when it comes to environmental issues.
In this installment of Activated Voices, we spoke with Rick Beckel, a Macalester College sophomore in Minnesota, who coordinates outreach for MacCARES, a coalition that encourages and facilitates students, staff and faculty to go green on campus and in their communities. Beckel says that college campuses are incubators for social action.
