Join the UN-FAO and Planet Forward in Rome!

Students and staff attended the Committee on Food Security Conference in 2018, where the focus was on Zero Hunger. (Planet Forward)

We’re looking for 3 students to travel with Planet Forward to the UN-Food and Agriculture Organization headquarters in Rome. Students will attend the Committee on Food Security Conference, held Oct. 14-18, hosted around World Food Day. Students will hear from experts, and also may share their own ideas with policymakers. 

Travel and lodging is covered by the UN-FAO for this trip and, students will contribute a story to upon their return (editorial guidance will be provided for this piece).

We encourage all majors — undergrad and grad students — to apply. (Please note: Only college students, who will be enrolled in the fall 2019 semester in the United States may apply.)

To be considered: Prepare and submit a short piece (500-800 words; 1-3 min. video; 3-5 min. podcast) for publication on on the topic of healthy and sustainable diets, specifically ones that are affordable and accessible, and good for the environment, too. These stories can be told in any format — blog, video, podcast, etc.
