Luckily, there are companies like Natural Composites, the innovators featured on this week's Bloomberg West segment. Natural Composites has found a new use for discarded coconut husks that fill landfills all over the world. They grind the husks into a composite powder than can be used for a host of manufacturing applications. While the powder is mostly being used in the production of car parts, Natural composites hopes that it can be used to improve additional products in the future.
